HVAC PM/Estimator OR HVAC Project Estimator & Management OR Mechanical Estimator

Where: Bangor Maine

Pay: Up to $30-35/hr for newer Estimator up to $45 for Seasoned Estimator (based on experience and skill level)

Project Manager / Estimator building & maintaining relationships. Managing Industrial and commercial HVAC construction, retrofit projects.

Project Evaluation- Works together with the project team to successfully evaluate the project details from bid packages, drawings and site visits for accurate estimates and passes on the key information to assigned Project Manager.

Time Management- Works together with general contractors, clients, subcontractors, vendors and project team to successfully develop estimates to meet customer or client deadlines and demands. The ability to work on multiple bids simultaneously.

Cost Management- Works together with the project team to successfully establish project budgets and successfully communicate the basis for the budgets to the assigned Project Manager.

Communication- Works together with the project team to successfully communicate project budgets, details, conflicts, special conditions, value engineering solutions, etc. to Project Managers, subcontractors, customers, client representatives, etc.

Risk Management- Works together with the project team to identify risks, concerns, conflicts, special conditions, schedule or material concerns and accounts for the additional risk accordingly in estimates.

Procurement Assistance- Works together with the customer, subcontractors and vendors to identify accurate initial estimates of equipment packages and passes-on the corresponding information to the Project Manager.

Customer or Client Relations- Manages customer or client relationships to include telephone skills, initiative, proactiveness, salesmanship and problem solving skills.

Qualifications: 3 years of installing commercial mechanical/plumbing systems , in a Mechanical Contractor or plumbing environment. HVAC estimating & sales (prebid meetings / walkthroughs) budgeting experience related to commercial / Industrial HVAC jobs is required $5MM and up. Communication with Architect, owner, contractors & engineers. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word & Online GC software is. Will need to read & understand blueprints / schematics & have knowledge of VRF, VAV, Split Systems, Packaged units, DDC, Controls, DOAS, ERV’s, Hot water and chilled water systems. Physical requirement, move and lift 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
